Senior Thesis Project

Rescue Right is a guide intended for young women (ages 23-28) who are in the process of becoming first time rescue dog owners, or are considering it. Often, people are not properly educated on the specialized needs of a rescue dog, leading to an undesirable relationship for them and the dog. In some cases, this leads to the dog being surrendered. The guide starts from square one, explaining basic knowledge of dogs, different dog breeds and their behavioral traits as well as rescue dog specific behaviors.

Having a rescue dog of my own, I was inspired by her journey and behaviors to make a guide educating others on rescue dogs. Rescue Right provides tips, tricks, checklists of essentials, QR codes to outside resources as well as note taking pages. Rescue Right is meant to not only inform, but motivate the reader on this exciting and life changing adventure they are about to go on.
